How To Show Featured Admins on Facebook Pages

by

By default, Facebook pages don’t show who the admins are. I have long thought it would be great if Facebook allowed page owners to make it easy to show visitors who the admins were. Personally, I want people to know who is running my business pages, so on the info tab I give people my name and let them know how to get in touch with me. I don’t know how many people see it though since it’s not very prominent and not in a place people are accustomed to looking for a contact name. Well, finally, along with other changes Facebook made recently, they made it easy to publicly show admins for a page.

Using this feature means you will be showing a link to your page admin’s personal profile, which I know won’t appeal to everyone. Some people don’t want to make their personal profile publicly available to people they don’t know. This is perfectly understandable, but I highly encourage anyone with a page to at least include the a name and contact info somewhere. Again, think transparency!

For people who use Facebook like I do, as a way to interact with a number of different people, I think this is an excellent way to be a bit more transparent with my business.

The owner of the page can choose whether or not to show who owns the page. Go to the about page, and if they’ve made their admins public, you’ll see them in the lower right corner of the page, under the contact info.

    I’m wondering the opposite…
Is there a way to find out who and admin is for a specific FB page?

What is to keep a single user from creating multiple similar yet different pages (giving the illusion that there are lots of people concerned/involved in something)?

Case in point, can one person create dozens of web pages supporting gun control? Or dozens of pages supporting gun owner’s rights?

How can the general public find out who is behind these pages?

Hi! I’m wondering… is it possible to list myself as an admin for my page, but then NOT have it show up on my personal profile? This is ultimately what I want to do. But by default, when I add myself as a page owner, the page shows up on my personal profile. When I go in and edit my profile to take the page away, then my admin pic for my page is also gone.

I wish there were a way to separate these two….

I sure hope so! 🙂 Personally, as the admin on a number of pages, I’d love it!

Hi, do you know if its possible to show which admin posts on the wall of a Facebook page? I have a band page, and it would be good if we all had admin accounts, for it to make sense to our fans on who has posted what this function would be ideal.

All admins will post as the page name. The only way for your fans to know who is posting is to have each admin sign their own posts.

Useful, if someone is or knows the admin for a page. In my case, i have been given my company page, but do not know who the admin is, and would like to be able to see who’s account the page is linked to. Any ideas?

Hi Leela, when you say you’ve been given the page, do you mean that you have been made an admin? If so, you can easily see who the other admins are. To do this, go to your page, click the Edit Page link at the upper right corner of the page. Then, on the left, click the Manage Admins link. On the page that comes up, you’ll see who all the admins are for that particular page.

In my case, I don’t want to be visible as an administrator. So, I’m just confirming that if I set up my page, I will not be visible unless I choose to be?
    Thanks

Correct. Unless you make it known on your page that you’re an admin, nobody will know who owns that page.
